Hereabouts

Before we go bravely into the year ahead.. (or hungoverly or reluctantly or whatever) let's look back on the best bits of 2023.

What good memories will you take from the year just gone?

City centre/Naas

Plenty of good memories off Fab.

Fab memories have been fairly quiet, but hopefully I get to meet some folks socially or otherwise. That being said there have been fun chats in the forums.

Ups and downs.

Somewhere in Co. Down

It has been a tough year but it made me realise how important true friends are and how much family means to me.And how important it is to make time and to show and let them know that as well. .

Mine was a trip to Granada and the Alhambra. Had been on my wishlist for years and was blown away to finally walk around it

Best moment always gotta be about my children!

My daughter started the year on a note which couldn't go any lower. With a lot of support from family, friends and health care professionals through the toughest times of our lives, she's now laughing and chuckling away with the dog .

If my children are safe and happy, then my job is done and I'm content

Now I've got to work on the dog

Rural

Had a bumper crop of vegetables this year and I came out as a bi occasional cross dresser with friends and family, they weren't suprised made a new friend who's great craic and a lone wolf like myself whos sociable but stoic.

Fabs fab, they cum and go lol

Hopefully make friends with cross dressers, trans or women with a similar look and outlook as myself and have some fun and friendship too maybe get dolled up and just go with the flow at mine.

2023 was a great year for me

Belfast

Very few positives yet again for another year but there are 2 that stand out.

Most importantly the value I place in friendship and support and telling those I care about how much they mean to me.

Secondly a hiking trip in Spain which was amazing despite being tempered by bad news on arrival home.

Skerries

Caught One Epic Wave, off the coast of Clare in September.

Dawn breaking, Sun coming up on the smooth water, Big Atlantic Swell coming in with no wind.

Rode that baby for what seemed like a mile and got shot up and over at the end.

A perfect moment in time

Otherwise it was pretty 'meh'

On fab

The week away in PDI with Toxic and about 35 other fabbers was fantastic

The clubs and the nude sunbathing every afternoon will live long in the memory

I'll also never see Mary Poppins again without laughing my head off

Off Fab

5 days on my own in Las Vegas and seeing U2 in The Sphere was a once in a lifetime experience

The last few years were not great due to various things but thankfully I found the strength and support and fully appreciate my true friends and family who were there for me.

My children and grandchildren make me so very proud and I feel blessed.

Fab has been at a standstill for me the last couple of years so who knows what 2024 will bring

Naas which is South West of Dublin

I haven’t had the best year personally and have found it tough going at times but compared to others I really have little to complain about, just need to remember to keep things in perspective.

From a Fab point of view I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and chatting to some amazing people but I need to do better in 2024 and get out and about a bit more.

Life is like riding a bicycle, in order to have balance you have to keep moving forward…..

Onward and upwards in 2024…….

Meath / Dublin / Birmingham

I had some ongoing great fun with a really great Fab member I was chatting to for a good while

This place has again been a good place to just get away from the every day rubbish and just have some chats and craic. There are some super people on here.

Off here... had some good things happen in my work life. They don't mean a whole pile - work is rubbish generally - but they are nice I suppose

I had some good things happen my friends and family members and that warms my heart... I'm really haply for them and I've got some great people around me.

My Dad passing away peacefully. Got to see him few hours before, knew he was happy, though a touch disoriented, still happy though. Died in his sleep at almost 90 after a very good life, just a touch of dementia last few years, so he didn't know any better.

If we all got that, wouldn't we be happy out, literally?

That's the best we can wish for. Happy and peaceful.
