somewhere

Does anyone eat Christmas cake or pudding anymore

Do you make them or buy them

Still remember my mum steaming 6 Christmas puddings every year with a kitchen full of steam for 8 hours and stirring the Christmas cake mixture and fighting to lick the spoon with the brothers

Buy Christmas pudding. I do remember my mother making the pudding steam everywhere.

I was in dunnes the other day at the drinks section and a mother and daughter where looking for a bottle of stout to make a pudding.

If a cake is present & I'm offered a slice. I usually have some, it'd be rude not to.

We usually have pudding for dessert on Christmas day. My Mam used to buy the pudding, can't remember her making it, maybe she tried to it over the year's alright. I remember the cooking/steaming of the pudding for ages alright.

I think she made the Christmas cake a few time's over the year's. Over time she just started to buy the cake, aswell as the pudding.

I've a sister in-law, that make's the Christmas cake. Don't know about the pudding part.

Cake and more cake. Never made one but would eat my body weight in cake.

Also fwiw mince pies.... Can't get enough of them. To save you all trying different ones here's my list (all 6 packs and around the 3 euro mark)

Aldi - poor effort

Tesco finest - too much booze in them

Supervalu - pastry let them down a wee bit

Lidl deluxe - difficult to give it second place... Very strong contender for best pie

M&S all butter pies - 2023 champion

Never tried dunnes because it's a hole of a place
