Christmas Spirit unblocked

In keeping with the spirit of the Christmas season I have decided to unblock all those that have caused me to press the big "B" button on their profiles over the past year.
I now realise the existence of in excess of 100 profiles on my blocked list brings an element of negativity to my otherwise very enjoyable fab journey.
Wishing all my fellow fabbers, unblocked or otherwise, a very happy and healthy Christmas.

Not the same for me.
Things change and what might have appeared like a strong reason to block at the time might not now seem so absolute.
I have been unblocked by some people who originally blocked me after initial clashes of personality, misunderstandings because of different sense of humour, or it was suggested by others on here that they should not engage with me.
They subsequently thought, after meeting at socials or seeing my activity on the forums, "ah he's not really all that bad" despite what my username suggests and we are now firm fab friends.
I am more than happy to give those that I had blocked a second chance.
Life is too short to add grudges to the weights we have to carry.

Likewise, and I carry no weight or burden for blocking.
Like many others, my block button is a useful extension of my filters, so to undo that seems counterintuitive in terms of my enjoyment of the festive season

As I am not a woman I dont think I can honestly cannot say if my experience would be any different.
Obviously I had good reasons to block people in the past, some of which were because of nasty messages I had received, but my seasonally motivated goodwill gesture of unblocking those on my list was based on past experience where I myself have had been blocked after minor differences of opinion and where the blocks were subsequently removed and I now have friendly relations with those that unblocked me.
We all make mistakes and I am happy to give people a second chance in the hope they wont make the same mistake twice.

What did you expect to happen? You may not have an inbox full of vitriol because most of those have already counter blocked you and have little interest in the fact they are now unblocked.
I don't block for minor infractions. I block most people for being a cunt. It's highly unlikely they are any less of a cunt now so once they are there they will stay there. I don't have time to give people second chances.
I also have good reason to despise Christmas which is why I'll never take part in any Christmas related thread so unblocking is even less likely at this time of year. |

What did you expect to happen? You may not have an inbox full of vitriol because most of those have already counter blocked you and have little interest in the fact they are now unblocked.

As a thread based totally on a gesture of seasonal goodwill it seems that you have broken your own rule by interacting with a Christmas based thread.

I have about 6 people on my blocker, well actually I have 6, not about.
1 is a girl I dated in real life pre fab, and was a bad break up.
The other 5 are lads, 1 I was at school with don't want him knowing my business, so staying on the list.
1 is someone I used to speak to a lot on here, until he turned up at a meet I was at uninvited. Yeah staying blocked.
The other 3 are grey, I know one of them spammed the updates page with something really depraved, beyond even my open mind, every day, but I can't remember which one so I'm not gonna take the risk.
So 2 on my list blocked for no memorable reason. To be fair it's been a while since I dropped the block hammer.  |

Exactly.
That's why I have now unblocked them.
We will see how many, if any, give reason to go back on my naughty list.
