An ex gf got the legs lazered - great job.

Keep on top of the sensitive areas OP with shaving or the trimmers with the covered steel contouring face ones.

"Actually have wondered about waxing and how much longer it would last over shaving. "

Lasts about 4 weeks before you need it done again. Depends on each persons ability to grow hair. If you have coarse hair it will hurt a little

"Actually have wondered about waxing and how much longer it would last over shaving. "

In most cases last about 3-4 weeks , depending on the hair type, ethnicity etc ... personally,I do not like any hair on my body and as soon as I see any hair that can be removed with wax I do so ... saying that one needs to exfoliate, moisturize etc before and after depending on the body part that should be waxed(avoid certain bits though)

Waxing can be painful at times, but it all depends on the wax( warm/cold), person pain threshold and manner in which the wax is removed and the list can go on and on

Anybody in Belfast do that on the QT. But does sound bloody painful. Hard as nails, but be crying like a baby touch wrong way down there.

.

Laser takes a LOT longer than I was led to believe.

I've done 6 sessions on bikini and underarm, basically no difference. And those were 6 weeks apart, with no waxing allowed, and needing to shave fully before every session.

I have one friend who it worked for, but your looking at about a year of treatments every 6 weeks, and then about 3 sessions a year to keep it away, it's a long term investment. Not quite the "permanent", "easy" solution they advertise.

Gillette Mach 3 blades three the vest

Thinking of doing laser treatment myself

Cameron Diaz said "whatever you do, don't get rid of your hair permanently" obviously did it herself and regretted it....can't see why you would, so much less hassle.....

Maybe she's got a shaving fetish...? Ha

Before I did the laser hair removal, I used Veet Sensitive. I would put Vaseline on sensitive areas before smearing Veet on.

The best thing I have found for hair removal and it’s not expensive is male pattern baldness

Dirty ol town…

Laser hair removal is not regulated in Ireland, so a lot of the times the “therapists”

Doing the treatment are only in house trained, and have no theory behind what they’re doing or what type of hair grows and why. Depending on the type of laser used and area getting treated you should be up to 90% permanently hair free after 4-6 sessions. If it’s the wrong machine or the setting isn’t correct it will take much longer or may stimulate growth.

IPL isn’t laser, it may heat the hair up to vaporise it under the skin but the wavelengths cannot damage a hair follicle so while having treatments done you may be hair free but it will grow back. Great for facial treatments though

Any home devices sold won’t do anything as you’re not allowed sell devices to the untrained public that could potentially give you third degree burns or damage the pigment of the skin.

Whoever says waxing can be pain free is lying, and numbing cream is not recommended for anything larger than a clenched fist.

You’ve billions of dormant hair follicles- nothing will last forever.

Waxing for me, doing it for the past 12 years. The hairs thin out over time. I get 5 to 6 weeks between waxes now.

Depending on your skin tone, Alexandrite lasers are most effective, avoid YAG machines, and ask if they have certs in electrical epilation or saftey laser certs. Even some of the most well known Clinics are taking in machines from Korea that are basically toys.

80% could be all you’ll get, you have to take into account hormonal growth, stress related growth, colour/thickness of hairs being left etc!

Ha tried to reply privately but I’m blocked!!

I have had laser treatment but use this to keep ontop of it and keep everything smooth. Can even shave the most difficult areas without cutting myself to pieces

I used a small electric beard trimmer to cut it back and hair removal cream, if it burns you left it on to long

Foil electric rasor works a treat and avoids any chance of a knick or irritation.

Curious, what numbing cream would you recommend? We do our own waxing using wax beads and get decent results, just sometimes more sensitive than others
