So what gets you quivering in fear and hiding behind your hands?

I'm a big scaredy-cat when it comes to horror.

My favourite is Young Frankenstein with Gene Wilder. It's genius!

Horrors don't faze me at all but there was something about The Ring that freaked me out!!! The first Nightmare on Elm St. was scary af at the time...watched it since and it's actually quite tame!!

Lots of interesting horrors these days that use different cultural spookies but if I had to recommend a fun and not so scary horror movie, malignant is brilliant.

Nice movies mentioned by all here.

Along with them I must add the Alien & Aliens movies as well as Evil Dead 1&2.

"Can’t believe nobody likes the shining "

I liked that one weirdly enough.

Or a mention of IT, Carrie, or Misery. Stephen King is the Godfather of Halloween.

The Lost Boys was good fun too.

Oh yeah, enjoyed both Beatlejuice and Hocus Pocus. I believe both are getting a sequel.

Another thing I enjoy watching at Halloween, the original Ghost busters movie.

That movie creeped me out as a kid. And her getting her boob out to breast feed some one else's kid was totes awkward in front of my parents.

Halloween.

Not necessarily Halloween themed but scary still is

Saw movies.

Child’s Play movies.

Pet Cemetery.

Law Abiding Citizen (the scene where uses a puffer fish to neutralise the killer before torturing to death …eventually.

Dunboyne

Any good Stephen King movie.

When A Stranger Calls original version.

The Hitcher with Rutger Hauer.

The Strangers with Liv Tyler, dare you to watch that in a house alone!

Alien, still scary despite how many times I've seen it.

Hellraiser.

A Quiet Place.

For nostalgia and fun, Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein, Carry On Screaming, The Fearless Vampire Killers and the original Fright Night.

Not a Halloween movie but watched "Dragged Across Concrete" on tg4 Monday, had never heard of it before despite starring Mel Gibson, but the brutal violence and dark tone left me in bits afterwards.
