The government seriously need to look at putting some sort of barrier in place. Also upgrade the drainage system that's no longer able to cope.

Flooding problems in most County Cork towns have been sorted by costly but successful flood relief schemes. Midleton and Cork city centre still need to be sorted. Planners also need to ensure there are no further developments on land prone to flooding to prevent future problems.
