I work shifts it's nearly 12oc and I'm in bed I can't sleep hearing a dog barking non stop it's very frustrating I don't blame the dog .. but the dog owners should be aware ,if you have a pet look after them ..

I never knew that dogs barking directly means owners are neglectful. I hear cats outside at night, crows in the morning, kids screaming in the playground in the school next door. You're right, they should all shut up because I'm being disturbed.

I think it really means that the owners have no consideration for their next door neighbour. I'm sure they know that she works shifts. Lou has every right to be put out by the dog. She has to be up early. There's no point in making fun of what is a stressful situation for many shift workers.

Invest in decent ear plugs or put in ear phones and play white/brown noise to drown out the sound

If it's constant during unsocialable hours you can approach the owners of the dog to make a complaint. If that doesn't work you can go to court about it. A woman in Kildare did it last year and won.

Its a difficult one to approach if your neighbours are that inconsiderate to leave their dog outside late at night barking. Like what do you do? You have to live there but don't want to be upsetting your neighbours either with calling guards or going to court and you shouldn't have to pack up and move house either. Some ppl are just..... pricks

Is it every night? Or an isolated incident? Perhaps something set the dog off.

Well iam a dog owner I've 2 you can tell by there barking weather it something that shouldn't be there are just them barking for no reason

I definitely blame the owners for not correcting there dogs at a young age I've a neighbour and when they go out are away the dog barks constantly poor dog bad owner

You can report it but I definitely wouldn't like to see a dog be but in to a dog home because of is owner neglected..just focus on the birds

Its a dog owner problem,

the dogs are barking for a reason.

Dog owners dont care about what their neighbours have to listen to.
