When the Vixen screams

The West

Everything was nice and calm, I was just getting relaxed this evening when the Vixen let out a few fierce screams.

Every dog in the place is gone mad now!

A beautiful creature, do many of you have interactions with them, (or other wild animals) they've become very brave in recent years, no problem hanging out in our garden!

Co. Cork

The fox is indeed a beautiful animal but I do feel the badger is a very underrated creature. Clever, tenacious, ruggedly handsome.

The only down side is it tends to make very loud noise when mating.

somewhere

Surrounded by foxes where I live

Just in from walking my dogs and 3 foxes were in the field next to me waiting on me to pass before they went on their travels

Sometimes they wait on the opposide side of the road and don't even try to hide from us and I have to hold the dogs tighter on the leads

Love seeing them

A Fox Vixens, your talking about OP?

If so. Ya there becoming more braver in build up area's, as the year's go on. I used to live with an uncle for awhile. Some nights a fox(which one it was, I don't know) would start barking outside the house. Which would start his terror off barking inside in the & usually would happen, while we're trying to sleep aswell.

I don't meet foxes much. In recent times I've met some red squirrels. They were curious enough for me to able to get a load of good pics

You’d definitely need a pair of 270’s if that happens

Ennis

We used to sea a lot more where we live but not as many in recent years, unfortunately. I think they are moving more into settlements where it is safer. Well, our chickens don't miss them I'd say.

It's a call between mother and cubs most of the time it's cubs that are lost looking for her, that's why we hear it a lot more at the end of the summer early autumn , that's the sound of the Banshee the old wife's tale
