I think it's fair to say that you have a highly visible profile.

Could be another factor?

You do realise that it's up to the person/persons you end up meeting for a social if they decide to give you a verification. Lots think that just because you meet someone for a coffee and a chat that it's a guarantee that they will leave you one

Would be a bit shitty to meet an unverified person for a social and choose not to give them their first veri.

If the person made me uneasy I'd have no qualms about not verifying them

The way I look at it a verification is to prove they are what they claim to be and that they turned up. If they turned up I'd verify. If there was no click I'd verify. If we didn't fancy em I'd verify. If we didn't get on I'd verify. If I thought they were dangerous or I had worries I'd report.

People meeting and not verifying happens quite a lot. As well as 1 party of the meet berifying the other but the "other party" not retuining the veri..

It's one thing if you're both verified and it doesn't make any difference, but for someone who isn't verified it can open doors for them and to deny them that for a 2 min bit of admin (even if you didn't spark with them) isn't great IMO.

I'm inclined to agree insofar as if there there are no obvious red do flags there's no reason to not verify someone.

If the unverified person is acting like a complete arse then honestly instead of a verification they would be reported as its about keeping everyone safe

For the record, I fully agree with you. It is not nice, but just saying it does happen a lot.

Fully understand that when I meet a person/persons they don’t have to verify me. It’s the same as sending someone a message, they decide if they want to reply or not.

Oops! When I read this first I thought I saw "(even if you don't spank them)..."
