The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) mistakenly shared details about 10,000 of its employees on Tuesday. A spreadsheet was mistakenly published online detailing the surname, initial, rank or grade, location and the department of all current PSNI officers and civilian staff members. Private addresses were not released.
Scary stuff as some groups are now claiming they have a copy of it |

The people with the unusual surnames are the ones that are going to have to hide their lives completely
I believe there's WhatApps going around with the full list of names
Whats the solution I wonder

"I don't know much about the situation in the north.. but surely people nearly always know who the cops are anyway?"
Not really, same as military services. It’s still not safe enough in most places from both side of the paramilitaries.
Most will probably go for constructive dismissal, get a pay out and move away. |

Regular beat cops probably, but there are many that work in secret or work many miles from home. You might know the cops name but you won't know where they live.
This issue allows for their work to follow them home. |

I feel so sorry for everyone involved. A human error with huge consequences for so many. I just don't know what the fix will be, but hopefully everyone and their families will be safe. |

Most of the names and ranks are already know but there was undercover officers named and that's what's most dangerous, home addresses were not posted so that's 1 positive, still many catholic members are leaving psni now over this , maybe they will come south a join the garda seeing as we have a shortage at the moment |
