Could anyone recommend best parking for the national botanical Gardens. If people have attended before they might know of somewhere convenient or some local knowledge of the area.

Dublin west

The pub across the road is gone and it's a building site as they are putting apartments on the site.

As a result the parking in the area is scarce enough so if you can get into the proper parking area then that's your best option.

If you want a great pub in the area you should check out the gravedigger (kavanaghs)on prospect square.

It backs on to the botanical gardens and glasnevin cemetery so you can walk to it through the graveyard.

+1 for food in the gravediggers. As a Kerry man, I wanted to hate Dublin Coddle but I've been back 4 or 5 times to get it after first trying it. They have a nice menu of Irish grub and a great pint too.

Very much appreciate the local knowledge, makes life so much easier and stress free when your not wasting time circling around when your unfamiliar with the area. Thanks to all that contributed.

I think I'm fine mow with a plan.
