Have had ones like that and tbh i generally ignore. I usually check out a profile before reading a message and if its hidden then nope

I have hidden mine when I needed a break but did not want to leave. Others I know have been harassed and thought hiding their profile was a way to stop it.

I've never wondered about it but I wouldn't reply to any hidden profile unless it was someone I'd already been chatting to.

Our biggest issue with fab is why are people allowed to view your pics when they have zero on show themselves . Or as op said , have their profile set to prvt.

I put my profile on private to cut down on messages, if I m talking to 2 or 3 people that's enough, don't need to chat to more new people. I forget it's on private sometimes, people have asked me to put it back on public, and I have.

So sometimes it's for pretty neutral reasons, nothing personal to anyone.

I haven't put my on private, yet anyway's.

If I get a message from a private/hidden profile. I can't be arsed to reply to them

I don't see the point of it.

I presume that they were getting harassment or were been bombarded with messages after sending you the message so decided to cool off a bit
