As a graphic designer, it's well known black and white photography removes any distraction of color and helps the viewer focus on other aspects of the photo, such as the subject, the textures, shapes and patterns, and the composition.
This helps when displaying the wedding vegetables for all to see |

It might be worth showing evidence of your ability to do that in your own pics before offering to do it for anyone else. It might help inspire confidence.
As for B&W OP sometimes it's just the aesthetics, sometimes the mood of the photo, and sometimes when the picture isn't quite the best quality a wee B&W edit, adjusting the contrast & lighting can salvage an otherwise meh photo |

Agreed, and my own worst critic. In everything I do....hence why I don't practice what I preach.
Might make it a plan to do so...and show my skills lol |

Contrast can make a wishy washy b/w photo look amazing. I always use it with b/w photos. Mrs |

Your most recent public photo I'd push the contrast, bring up the detail in certain areas - body hair, beard, collar bone, along the lines of the muscles in your arms - push the overall sharpness a tiny bit and darken the whole image a little. Your B&Ws are very good though! |

Funny you should mention that. I was trying something a little different with this one and went for a lighter more washed out look when I edited it.
I actually think I'm my arm looks huge in this one but hey I took it at 3am after a night in the pub and wasn't thinking about focal length |

I use the same phone...the majority of my pics are b&w but recently have started to mix them up a bit.
I'm a huge lover of erotic art and b&w pics something more sensual about them ..

Same. Taking pics for fab has gotten me into photography in a way I hadn't thought of before and I've ended up with a few nudes I really like bit might actually be a bit too arty for fab.
Never thought I'd hear myself say that.
Your red one really pops in the midst of the B&W's |

"I like b&w . However I do find that in alot of cases its used to make a pic appear better looking
So for profile pics I much prefer colour and a certain amount of realism. These studio types and such just leave me feeling , I still don't know what you really look like "
That's why you throw in one or two colour pics too
