Bazz was the organiser of the highly recommended 6 Nations festival Socials in Cork known as "Open Positions" and was arranging a series of socials for the Rugby World Cup because it was very successful and they were not charged events, he put countless hours into arranging them and got bars to reserve large areas and got complimentary food for everyone and made it his business to get to know every single person or couples attending.
There will not be another Bazz and I've known him for almost 20 years and I haven't met another guy like him ever. He was the perfect gentleman.

I don't know what happened and I'm sure it's not for discussion on here but I found him to be a really sound guy.
Send him my regards.

"The last time we had a similar thread/campaign most of the people posting on it weren't allowed to post afterwards. "
I have met him and he seems like a very genuine guy.
He did some amazing work organising the 6 Nations Rugby socials in Cork. Really relaxed events in excellent venues with very nice people in attendance.
I don't know what happened to cause him to leave but I just wanted to say that I am sad to see him go and Fab will be a lesser place without him.
I was really looking forward to his upcoming Rugby World Cup events.
Where am I now going to go to be among a nice group of people to watching Ireland win. |

Was wondering why I didn’t see a post lately
Had the pleasure of meeting this gentleman and I must say the pleasure was all mine
A genuine guy that organized events free of charge all on his own time
Surely one of Fabs greatest promoters certainly in our time on here
All trying too promote the lifestyle in a safe and welcoming way
So get bazz back on the community in cork certainly needs people like him

"Complete and sound gentle man hope he comes back won't be the same with out him "
Don’t know what happened but surely someone that promotes the lifestyle in the same way that bazz has is badly needed in here
As far as we can see when in contact with him it was all about people’s privacy and safety was paramount to him
He was always promoting the lifestyle as best he could so don’t understand why sometimes the site take it on themselves to stop people connecting with the people they choose to

Stupid question.
The socials in Cork for the Rugby World Cup, aren't going ahead now?
I was hoping to go to at least 1 of them.
I noticed that there wasn't any thread about them anymore, apart from the thread about all the social event's.
That's a pity.
Hopefully everything is alright & he comes back on Fab in the future. |

Had noticed on our local update feed a few days ago that there was a new MF couple profile from Cork had joined, and when we read the bio it referred to two men teaming up to run rugby related events. Assume there was a breach of the rules somewhere along the way? We’re not au fait with all the site rules, and have been sent to the naughty step ourselves for a previous breach. If there was a rule breach, it was either serious enough to get a permanent ban, or he has taken umbrage at any ban at all and won’t return on principle? Apologies if we’re incorrect in any of the above details or speculation, but the mysterious nature of the thread appears to encourage speculation.
Regardless of the reasons, it’s unfortunate that his organised events look to be a casualty of whatever dispute / offence. The events weren’t for us personally, but it was very noticeable on here that many couples were enthusiastic participants and they appeared to be a valuable verification opportunity for new couples also - we are disappointed for both cohorts. |

Lots of character references, but no idea what the crime and punishment were.
Maybe it’s all building it up for some sort of triumphant return. Lots of drama… and we’re adding to it out of curiosity, must stop. |

Bazz or Open Positions as his profile was known as left because other users on this site where bickering with each other and Bazz was asked to pick a side.
One member told him if he picked the wrong side his name would be tarnished and everything that he worked tirelessly for.
He never got involved in disputes nor initated them and always tried to help resolve others problems.
But because of 1 member here who threatened to tarnish him and his page and tarnish other social organisers for his kicks, bazz left.
Im discusted such people exist on this site and I'll stamp you out like a cigarette butt!

I have met Bazz at one of Rugby socials ,it was a brilliant afternoon , he is a very genuine nice guy who really enjoys organising socials , by mow through all his socials , he would have met some amount of people who really got to know him , so for 1 person to try and tarnish his name wouldnt work as so many know what type of guy Bazz is and wouldnt even beleive it anyway , including me , i for one would defo be letting people know the thruth and not listen to rumours , and to go meet Bazz and make up their own mind
Too many people on this site think they own it and i have seen first hand what nasty people on here can do , i know of a few good guys left because of nastyness of some of the women on here , i can never understand why people think its ok to be mean ,

Oh ffs are we in a school yard or what ?
The worst thing about the forums on fab is they give people the impression that fab is full of drama loving fools with nothing only gossip and tit for tat on their agendas

Rugby is exclusionary by its nature… live by the sword, die by the sword? * ducks for cover *
I’m sure whomever threatened to ruin Baz’s ‘built-from-the-ground-up’ social meet empire, or his irreproachable reputation in Cork’s swinging underbelly, is revelling in his/ her/ their big victory that has Baz throwing a tantrum of self imposed exile.
Great soap opera entertainment… worthy of an episode of ‘under the goldie fish’. |

As the OP I was not taking offence on anyone's behalf but mearly expressing my disappointment that the member who had decided to leave the site would not be here to organise socials around the Rugby World Cup. |

As someone who played gaelic games, soccer and rugby I found rugby to be the most welcoming and inclusive of the the football codes.

Most of the posts on here seem to be far from the Munster region
Bazz puts these events together so people can meet in group social events in a safe and private manner
Too comment like can’t ye all meet and watch the rugby is just ridiculous
And it’s not till September surely it will be sorted by then if ye or anybody else can organize an event at the drop of a hat that’s free and safe for people to attend well I suggest you’re in the wrong business
This guy (Bazz) has done this for the whole Munster region obviously those socials were held in cork
It’s not easy to find a nice place for like minded people to meet in a safe environment and get that establishment to provide refreshments to the patrons while all free for the entrants
Give credit where it’s due and as a previous post said if you have nothing nice to say then it’s better to say nothing |

My point was, could perhaps some of those who attended last time and who know the venues that hosted before, perhaps take on the mantle, and approach those same venues.
It seems, to me, like a reasonable and practical solution that's neither disrespectful, mean or "not nice". |

Have you guys attended one of the previous socials he organised? Just wondering as you have no verifications displayed and your bio states you are not meet verified, it might help to update bio at least even if you have veris hidden (for whatever reason) from past socials. Veris certainly make us more interested in profiles.
As we said previously, we sympathise with those who enjoyed and who will miss his socials, but this appears to be a wilful decision by a grown man in response to a not so grownup drama between him and other fabber(s). |

No, the problem is a certain individual trying to slander and undermine event organisers in Cork for his own gains and sick perverted kicks.
He is not welcome at any cork events as far as I'm concerned..

But why would anyone want to do that? Is he an event organiser himself? Was Bazz competition? Why would Bazz just leave like that? He had built up a good reputation, surely resilient to being tarnished by one person?
I'm just trying to understand what happened and why. It's very sad if someone felt bullied out of the scene. Mrs |

We’re well verified, so don’t need to attend socials or events if they don’t appeal to us, but we see the intrinsic value of these socials/events to our swinging ecosystem, particularly as a kickstart for new couples that we’ll only meet once verified and experienced.
However, this serialised drama, suggested by the Baz-ites, involving an unknown Mr. X, is for Baz alone to confront and to fight his own battles surely? Is that too simplistic? Or is it a case of fight threatened “slander” with insinuated slander? |

It’s no longer a melodrama, it’s officially a fairy tale now that another white knight has arrived. Maybe the damsel in distress doesn’t want rescuing - he left of his own accord for reasons unclear except to a select few it appears. |
