The price of one night (sat)stay in Dublin in October is a crazy price of €260. The prices are going way off the chart

Sounds like a decent deal for a hotel in Dublin. What were you expecting to pay?

The skylon is 200 for every Saturday in October expect the last one.

The Devlin is 220 for the last Saturday in October.

Some good deals for lesser hotels on booking. Com

Shop around and join up with Booking.com or one of those as they give deals to regular customers that are not shown to random customers.

Got a city centre hotel in July for €250 on Booking account. But it's shown as €320 on their site for non-accounts!

The days of a hotel in peak season in Dublin City centre for €180 are gone, and they're never coming back!

Look at prices for next June

Its a eye opener, crazy doesn't even count for what the hotel industry sees fit to charge

I think they charge what people are willing to pay.

Portlaoise

One Euro/Pound holds a different value to every individual.

Some are fortunate enough to not have to consider rising costs. Many others have to budget smarter than before and seek out value in their decision making.

And for many more the decision making has been taken away from them.

Basically, the same as it's always been but with the gap widening.

Capitalism working at it's optimal best.

Laughable how much they charge and whats worse is people are prepared to pay it,, answer is to cancel your trips all together ,that's the only way they will lower prices,no excuse for war in Ukraine or refugee crisis bull shit ,this is price gouging pure and simple

It's mad how things go.

It's literally 3-4 years ago and some sections of society were complaining about all the hotels being built in Dublin and that we should be building house there instead. Now you can't get a hotel or a house!!
