I was watching Wimbledon other day & noticed they can not play tennis when its raining, apart from tennis, pool/snooker are there other games that cannot be played when balls are wet...very curious |

The brushing is done to try and create a wet film ahead of the stone so it slides easier without the friction of the stone on the ice. |
