somewhere

I know everyone gives out about the cost of things

Bought 2 bags of chips last night on the way home for the family

9 euro for 2 bags of chips and no extra chips in there at all

Since when did a single bag of chips cost €4.50

How much in your local chipper

cavan town

Same here, but you'd feed a rugby team with the amount they put in a portion and proper chippy chips too.

Waterford

3.50 in the one we go to and they be packed to brim. Ive given up going to the likes of supermacs and that. Plus for all of us to get a takeaway its over 50 quid so theyre few and far between now.

We went out for a walk last night through town and stopped into a pub for a drink and my sprite was nearly as dear as his pint

New year's eve is the best time for rip off..

Chipper van outside local pub waiting for us to leave at 2am..

Bam!!!

12 euro for burger and chips..

Just a burger and bun.. Nothing else.. The chips? Think kids happy meal.

I'm sure they were thinking it's a happy meal because of the value

I don't drink alcohol but @ €6.50 for a pint of 7up in a pub...it's gone beyond a joke ...

South County Dublin

3.50 euros in local chipper and they always add extra, plus proper chips.

They do meal deals from 11 to 14 euros, burger, chips and soft drink

I know this isn't what the thread is about. Ya minerals & alcohol bottles(not pint bottles of cider) are 100% ripoff. It's no wonder people don't go near them, if they can help it all.

Personally I can't rightly remember the price of a bag of chips in my local chipper. Off the top of my head around €3.50 to €4.00.

To me €11.50 for 3 chips, doesn't seem right price wise. That might just be me.
