So I usually just read the posts, looking an odd giggle or laugh at someone's funny wit or sarcasm, but lately seems to be less and less and more and more nonsense, repeats, same old same old, what yous think? Or is too serious a topic for y'all?

somewhere

How serious do you want it to be

Is it just to be about sex or meets or can it not just be used as a way of starting conversations with others, having a bit of craic and making connections

The West

Fits and starts.

It comes in waves from what I can see.

Shitposting is a great way to be social though. It's a bit of fun and makes social contact easier.

I honestly used to think all the forum games were silly until I started to play and ended up with two coffee meets out of it.

Yep, if you want depth, I'm afraid the Ireland forum is not the place

It very appropriately swings from one extreme to the other, with a sweet spot somewhere in the middle between just a pisstaking session and a serious forum with no divergence from topics allowed.

On the serious (non sexual) topics, we’d prefer not to get an insight into the political or socio economic views of potential play partners (counting everyone on the site). We’ve, regrettably, had to block profiles simply because the potential for any sexual frivolity is removed by these unfortunate insights; we’d rather not be exposed to political views or debate, especially if your hot!

The banality of the majority of topics and posts, without a semblance of connection to swinging and/or sex, isn’t our cup of tea - but we’re in the minority on that it appears.

The forum is a window into what appears to be an inverse relationship between activity on a swingers site’s forum and activity in real world swinging scene for a significant cohort of posters. We’d prefer if there were less voyeurs or fantasists and more swingers in Ireland… it might be a happier little island if that was the case?

Id imagine and also from experience that most swinging takes place well away from the forums in the first place

Private parties are taking place every weekend with nothing mentioned on the forums at all

Don't forget most of the site never touches the forums in the first place

I enjoy the forums,I try to start one original thread per day but if they never existed I know I would have gotten nowhere on here as I'm crap at writing messages especially first messages

I think the Ireland board is a bit like a common room or staffroom, a mix of this & that, a bit of pisstaking, a bit of general chit chat, a bit of flirting, and the occasional deep conversation and debate.

We're not confined to just using this board; there are plenty of topics to be discussed in The Lounge & sex stuff in Swingers Chat plus a host of other boards.

And of course there's always the option of starting threads yourself

When I was speaking on a similar thread yesterday I said the one the day before was very like last Thursday's but I'm open to being corrected on that.

As others said it comes and goes in waves highly depending on the mix of active forumites. It is amazing sometimes to witness how quickly the forum can become alive again just because some new strong characters join in or some retired ones return.

Try the Camping forum, its a haven of tranquility.

The most argumentive and divisive forum is the UK Politics one.

The politics forum is hilarious, although it's the exact same topic in almost every single thread since 2016, Brexit.

The thread might start out being about something else but inevitably it will turn to the B word.

City centre/Naas

I don't feel there has been any huge change in how the forums have been, people come and go.

Topics may repeat every few months but you see the occasional new view point that makes you think.

Plus it gets easier to avoid the threads that are going to put you off in someway. Although those threads can have the added advantage you giving you an inside view of people you don't want to meet (not going to mention names of course).

Hot with unfortunate insights revealed = blocked

Hot with secret same unfortunate insights = sexual frivolity possible!

If ever there was an advertisement for keeping mute this is it!

I’m only on the site a few weeks and I’ve come and gone on the forums but you can get a good insight into people as you say, particularly at night and it does give you food for thought with some.

Im comparison to the UK forum, that is dead to be fair. The Irish forum is very interactive and engaging. Content will always vary but ite wide and varying and a great way to get to ease yourself into chats etc..
