"Last thread got to big... starting a new.
What a performance from Kerry today. "
Ya,that's true, it did alright.
True it was alright. They play Monaghan next.
Hopefully Mayo do it later on today. |

Derry in the first game. With Mayo in the second game. That said it'll be either be a tight game or very nearly a walk over, loose game, with a fairly high score line. I seen in a vidoe 2 former enemies from the 2 team's both predict Dublin to win.
Common Mayo. |

The commentators using phrases like "Derry ambling back", "low scoring game", "all back in defence" tells its own story of how dysfunctional the game of Gaelic Football has become.
The answer is in the name FOOTball.
For *foot* sake kick the flecking ball.

Tickets always sell out for finals. It doesn't matter in the slightest which counties are in it, and the price isn't decided on the basis of who's playing |

Ya know I think rugby might just be our game
They were a bit shaky, but when they brought the players on that they were resting, they took control. A lot of bright prospects there for the (not so distant) future |

Not watching it, it's sound like there's a seriously good future for Irish Rugby coming along, fairly soon.
Lou is "Stop & Staring" having some Naughty thoughts while watching the game's.

The Irish U20's have made it to the World Cup final on the back of a Grand Slam in the Six Nations.
A magnificent outfit to say the least.
Should be a gigantic battle on Friday evening |

The GAA still want teams that will make a great final, of course finals will always sell out ,that goes without saying, and ticket prices will be ticket prices anyway but where the race is on as regards tickets is that a lot of neutral's will go to a Kerry/ Dub football final where they would'nt go to other teams in the final...and tickets change hands at extraordinary prices..and PS l did say that the final is Ching Ching to the GAA anyway ,Which means they don't care who's in the final.

Your previous message suggested that a Dublin/Kerry final would mean more money for the GAA and that's not the case at all.
Tickets becoming like gold dust doesn't make am extra cent for the GAA.
The format of the championship over the last number of years has been tweaked to ensure that the best and most consistent teams end up in the latter stages. It's great but it removes the romance. A number of years ago Fermanagh got to a semi final and the excitement would have been incredible if they had won. That's highly unlikely to happen in the modern game. |

My previous message was that the GAA would have the best two football teams in the final , l fully understand that whoever is in the final will sell out anyway, but as regards finalists if it is Kerry V Dub , it will attract more neutral attention, of course whoever is in the final will be there in force but tickets over the years have exchanged hands for unbelievable amounts,of Course the GAA will make their millions from each final , they always do and always will . |
