Just might be stupid question, but has the Rugby World Cup started? And does anyone know if any apps are available to keep track?

If I remember correctly there is an official app that was released close to the competition opening back in 2019.

Yeah the u20s championship is on at the moment and we are doing well in it. So all eyes on that, young prendergast is looking to be a star of the future.

I've just seen the RWC jersey. It's fucking horrendous. The worst shade of green for an irish jersey. It looks exactly like the 2019 WC jersey except it's been put through the wash a million times. Better be a joke.

So disappointed

Under 20s going well but a couple of red cards have put a spanner in the works! Great team. Proud of them all

They'll get out of the group just fine. Unless Italy cause some kind of upset, a quarter final against New Zealand or France will follow and that's when things get really tricky.

If they somehow win that, the lopsided draw works in their favour as the semifinal opponents will have come from the soft side of the draw.

Just have to see, I hope Ireland can get quite far in the cup.

They will comfortably beat Romania, they will beat Tonga but pick up injuries , they will lose to south africa and Scotland could be a bogey match . Sexton will not see past the grpup stages

History dictates that Ireland won't get far, so much emphasis is placed on the 6 nations to the detriment of world cup which only comes around every 4 years

They have a 2 week break between South Africa and Scotland, if they need a win v Scotland, they'll get it.

However, if they do a number on South Africa and have a QF in the bag after 3 games, putting out a second string team against Scotland to keep players fresh for the QF could conceivably come with the added benefit of knocking South Africa out, they'll know the permutations before the game.

It's the QF against France or New Zealand where they l’ll likely come undone but if they pull that off, the semi final will be against a team from the soft side of the draw, I doubt England or Australia will scare them if they've already beaten France or New Zealand and at least one of South Africa or Scotland.

Have a look at SquidgeRugby on Y.t , about Irelands World Cup 10 year plan etc ..

Really interesting and gives an amateur who’s too old to still be playing some hope , dare I say
