Feck. Didn't even know about it. Saw him in Marley Park about 15 years ago. Man is a genius and still holds a tune. |

Yep, definitely the best gig I've ever been. The man is a musical genius. From start to finish, awesome.
Before tonight top 3 gigs-
Thin Lizzy, minus phillo, but Scott Gorham, John Sykes, Brian Downey and Darren Wharton. The closest I'll ever get to the best irish band ever.

The whole show was absolutely brilliant, from start to finish , it had it all , the main act was just totally awesome ..he does that every show..so delighted his son sang a bit of " Crazy World " as a tribute to the late n great Christy, the second act was just brilliant , l thought her voice was just unbelievable ( we won't discuss what she was wearing , we'll just stick to the music ) .. Blondie was just amazing , in her mid 70's but her voice ..( and yes back in the day l'd say lots of guys spent manys a long happy time thinking about her ) ..and the main act ? .. nothing further to be added.. simply brilliant..the band were on fire ..71 years of age looking like a guy in his early 40's .. totally awesome night ..and it didn't rain ..very important for an outdoor event. |

Coldplay Croke Park
If you could bottle the energy of the 80'000 crowd you wouldn't need The ESB
Band were incredible on the main stage
Then the crowd and band did something special on The B stage that I've never seen before
Crowd surfed a guy in a wheelchair up onto the stage, the band made room for him so up he went

I've said it to friends for years. While I grew up listening to grunge and harder rock and have a varied taste of music ....I saw Sting when I was 17 in the point depot. It was and still is the best gig I've ever been at. OP livid I couldn't make that gig, hope.youd a great time and that I get the chance to see him again. |
