I'm aware of Gresham Bookshop, but is that the only one? Just looking to go have a look around and get some surprise sexy toys and accoutrements for my GF. Maybe bring her along, or is it a bit grotty and not a very sexy experience?

Definitely opt for Ann Summers.
It has recently moved into it's new premises where Mothercare used to be in Castle Place...pretty much opposite HMV.
The Gresham Street adult shops are pretty seedy...a friend of mine used to work in one and was stalked by creeps on a regular basis.
