Hi all, we know there is a seperate French forum for all Cap D'agde posts, but we are interested in hearing from Irish visitors. Any advice or tips for newbies to Cap like ourselves?

Agreed it’s the most open place in the world and the best part is you discovering what’s around each corner or different area. It’s truly an experience everyone should have at least once but we couldn’t stop after that. Lol.

100% agree with other comments. No place else like it. Friendly, great vibe. Very open minded people. Something for everyone. You’re in for a treat!

So now some suggestions

Port Nature restaurants for the people watching… amazing views every evening

Melrose Cafe: a few drinks after dinner, with great tunes and lots of sexy customers dancing on the tables

Le Glamor: iconic late night club with some great play areas in the basement

Clair Obscur for the kink…

Have you your accommodation booked?

I would think you would have difficulty finding somewhere if you are only looking now, July would be very much in the high season.

Apologies for the ignorance but is it officially an area where swingers can have fun without judgement and also, what's the name of the resport?

No need to apologise. The resort/village called Cap d’Agde is only accessible for swingers. As a couple you buy a day pass ticket from the entrance or stay in the accommodation within.

Thanks Dark. It sounds absolutely incredible. Would one recommend on site accommodation or off site?

Just found the resort. Obviously the sexual element is not advertised but is it only designated areas on site? Also the suggestions above are they on site or off site in the town itself?

Again apologies for the questions. Suddenly checking dates for a weekend away

Not entirely true, it's initially a naturist resort. Even though there's a lot of Swinger focused activities/clubs/pool parties, there are also families there that are just regular naturists. The beach is divided into 2 parts (naturists & swingers).

The sexual element is prevalent throughout the naturist resort (clubs, sex shop, lingerie shops) peppered across the resort, it's not hidden at all. For a weekend, I'd recommend staying in the resort for a full experience, for a longer stay, that might be a bit much.

Nothing booked yet , but we are camping equipped for the worst case and usually in the tier 4 and 5 star hotel you always find a room for a night or two

By October it’s closed even in late September some of the bars shops etc will have closed

As was said it’s primarily a naturist resort that tolerates swinging in certain areas. You have the clubs and a section of the beach.

The campsite for example does not tolerate it but once it’s not public and nobody complains then you may get away with it

Sex in public will get you arrested

I was over there for 5 nights in the last week of May. The specific place you need to search for is Cap d'Agde Naturist village, the general area around there is Cap d'Agde and if you want accommodation within the village you need to make sure it is indeed in the naturist quarter as searches will give you results for the surrounding area.

If you are staying in the village you will be given a card to swipe on the automatic gate to come and go as you wish. If your accommodation is outside the village you can buy a day pass to enter but I think you have to leave the village by 20.00 and if you do exit and want to re-enter you have to buy another pass.

My preference for getting there is the Ryanair flight at 09.00 from Dublin to Carcassonne and then the train to Agde where I get the No. 4 bus (€1) to right outside the naturist village entrance.

I come home on the Aer Lingus flight from Perpignan at 17.00.

There are supermarkets and plenty of eateries within the confines of the village so no need to go outside if you don't want to but I break up a couple of days by getting the bus into Agde or to the supermarket.

The naturist village is brilliant in my mind in that there is no judgement as to ones sexuality or gender identity and everyone is tolerated subject to of course being respectful of everyone else.

It is untrue that it is a place solely for swingers, it is primarily a naturist village where swinging and sexual liberation are tolerated. You could if you wish not wear clothes from the moment you enter to the moment you leave but most people dress in the evenings to go to the restaurants or bars though the clothing is often more eye opening that the nakedness.

If anyone wants any assistance drop me a pm. I can forward the contact details of the agency I use to book an apartment.

We usually stay in the accommodation for the first 3 or 4 days and the campsite for the rest of our trip. The campsite can often be raunchy enough especially the shower block late night.i haven't been for a few years so we decided to meet to meet there again in August.

Remember to pick your jaw up off the floor. Relax and enjoy. It's an amazing special place. Nide during the day, sexy and slutty at night.

Pool parties, clubs, bars restaurants, saunas. Pick your poison
