I remember condoms being boxed with these pointers in mind:-
(A) Boxes of 3 - was for people going away for a dirty weekend. i.e Friday night Saturday night and Sunday.
(B) Boxes of 5 - was for students at Uni and living away from home - i.e. Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday.
(C) Boxes of 12 - for the married men - i.e. January February March April etc etc  |

When I was an apprentice in UK many moons ago. I used to get a haircut and shve every 2 weeks from Greek barbers. Always when they had finnished and shown you the back of your head, they would ask would sir like anything for the weekend. Took me nearly a year before I realised they were selling condoms.  |
