People can do what they want etc. etc. This sort of stuff is too common with wealthy American men and doesn't sit well with me.

Al Pacino was 54 in Scent of a woman in 1994...and she wasn't even born!

High probability he will never see the child grow up!

Just give her the money ffs, no need to drag a child into it!

I don't understand the shock/horror in this thread. It's a bit like something from rural Ireland in the seventies. "One parent families? Sure nothing of the good could come from that?"

Are we now against all one parent families, and lets be realistic and recognise that there's a high probability that this may be the case here, although that's not certain either, or is it just this particular one?

This child will be well looked after financially at least and possibly borne out of a loving relationship.

Plenty of marriages, both in Hollywood and in real life, are disfunctional and quite often a child may grow up without knowing one parent. Also, many people end up with one parent dying before they get to know them. Maybe we should put the children down at the same time just to be safe?

Open minded thinking was probably too much for me to expect on this site, and that's a sad but true statement.

You might just be overthinking it, Mike! There is nothing remotely open-minded about this.

It's pretty normal amongst wealthy, aged, American men.

I think we have crossed wires here. Yes, it's pretty normal, that's half my point. It's not something worthy of such criticism as its up above, unless people are going to condemn all single parent families as well.

Also, the default position that seems to exist here would suggest that the only reason an older man and a younger woman could get together is money is a bit of a kick on a site supposedly populated by open minded people.

I'm not saying it isn't because of money because like everyone else above, I have no idea whether it is or not.

And let's be honest it's pretty irrelevant why. Two consenting adults and all that and at twenty nine she's very much a consenting adult.

Good for him. If its OK for a single woman to want a baby and to become pregnant, then this is OK too. I'm sure the family have enough resources for generations to come so if it suits them, and they can manage a baby then why not.

When I seen it online yesterday, for some reason. The old saying came into my head "There's life in the ole dog, yet."

Personally right now, I've no interest in having a child, at that age. If I'm still alive at that age even.

Each to they're own.

Nearly everybody think's it's the money that she seen in him at first. That could have changed or it mightn't even have been the reason they're together at all. Like it was said already they're both adults, they're doing no harm to anybody, the child more or less wouldn't want for anything over it's life.

Can't see where the single parent part comes from in this thread, right now.

That said it'll happen in the future alright. Whatever age the child will be at the time.

Also there's nothing wrong with coming from a single parent family. I'm from 1 meself & I had to put with shit cause of it internally. No he's not dead either & has 4 more kid's sence.

Alot of kid's from single parent family's are alot quiter & more understanding cause of it. Than some kids that have both there parents in there live.

There's nothing wrong with a kid not knowing or not having a father in they're life. That's life in some cases for them. Also the father not being in a kid's life, can be a good thing for that kid. Despite what other's might think about it.

Michael go meet a woman who is the same age ask her to strip off and then ask yourself as you reach and struggle not to vomit in your mouth am i really going to fuck this woman. Its disgusting that he impregnated that woman and God damn selfish because the only way the child will get to know his/her dad will be to watch films of him. Wooha. As for the mom she will be looked after financially but I would much prefer to have two parents than money.

The only thing that's disgusting me at the moment is your attitude.

Are you saying that women my age are stomach churning without their clothes on?

Are you saying that all single parent families are automatically less valid than any two parent family?

Really?

Fucking hell...

Very harsh comments!

Whatever their reasons, the two of them got together and had a baby.

As for your comment 'struggle not to vomit in your mouth' when you see someone that age naked. Sure people could say that about anyone who doesn't fit the norm whether agewise or regarding their sexuality.

It is very sad that you are so quick to judge. I think that child has a far better start in life than a lot of children. Okay their Dad may not have a lot of years left compared to the average Dad but a few years of having a good Dad is better than none. Much better than having parents who are d*unks druggies, violent or paedophiles.

I recently read on someones profile

'Please Leave your labels at the door with your ignorance.'

Oh it was yours!
