i travel all over

How do you feel about getting older ?

I feel positive about it. Still have energy but with a bit more wisdom . I wasted so much time worrying when I was younger about nonsense like what others think of me ..

If I only realised at 20 that others peoples opinion of me was none of my business. But as you say wisdom comes with age

Well, I don't know what you boys are smoking, saying that you're OK with getting older cause I'm not one bit happy about it. I'll take my wisdom in other ways please. I'll gladly stay at the age I am now but I'm not going any further. So don't come to me on my birthday and say... here's another number for ya tex, cause I'm not having it.... its ridiculous now at this stage every bloody year they come round and on another number on us. Something needs to be done about it and the government are just sitting on their hands as usual

Personally I'm finding im more relaxed about most things, ive learned stressing over things especially the little things is pointless so I just go with the flow and always remain optimistic.

Embracing life ,the ups and the downs and being thankful for all I have especially my health

Not overly mad about it. Thought I'd have the whole marriage and kid thing done long ago, and feel that that ship has sailed. Always ended up in the wrong relationship . But where I am is a result of decisions I made so can't complain or blame anyone else. So onwards and upwards. Can't wait to get my bus pass

As we all get that little bit older the shit we worried about when we were younger doesnt seem to matter anymore, saying that its my birthday today and i feel it every morning, roll on the old age pension..

I've found it to be a double edged sword.

Yes, there are benefits. I certainly worry less about what people think of me. I don't sweat the small stuff and I'm happy with the wisdom and insight that age & life experience has granted me.

Physically aging though is tougher. I don't mean my appearance - I'm still fairly youthful looking and could easily pass for a whole year younger It's more the aches and pains, the progression of my osteoarthritis, my failing memory, and the physical impact menopause has had. I've found those things more difficult to handle. That in turn has an impact on my mental health which is a daily juggling act.

And while it's great to have the children up and at an age where they're fairly self sufficient, and to enjoy the freedom that brings, there's a whole new set of challenges to help them with - exams, university, their finances, relationships.

To quote the great Clint Eastwood himself, when asked about how he keeps going at his

age he said” Don’t let the old man in”.

When I stop waking up in the morning with a hard on

I’ll know I’ve let him in lol

Getting older means I increasingly drop outside the upper age limits on a lot of profiles that I find myself attracted to. That's disappointing but other than that , getting old is inevitable, but I try to lessen the impact by taking action to stay fit and healthy. So far so good.

Happier, healthier and more confident than i've ever been ... and less f*cks given about the small things!

The one bit of advice though is to look after your health as you will reap the benefits tenfold both physically and mentally.

Is it not just a preference rather than ageism

Surely you have to accept that not everyone would want to meet older people on here

That's probably because your eyesight is declining as a result of old age.

What can anyone do about it ??? Exactly.. nothing...Just don't let the old person in ...do whatever you want ...wear whatever you want ..make no apologies to anyone for enjoying your life...we only have one..... whatever age we are health is THE most important thing ..never forget that.. everything else is only secondary and will fall into place..no regrets..

I feel ok about it. I was more concerned in my 30's about aging than I am now in my 40's. My sex drive has definitely increased with age.. Lets hope it stays that way.. I just go with it now..
