Oh America has plenty of fantastic places and people.. as does most countries (including England )
Among other issues I have with the States, I simply find it difficult to be proud of a country that officially values and glorifies war and civilian gun use. Each to their own mate |

It is statistically of note that 10% of the Irish population were born in another country, which is a phenomenal change from the position here thirty years ago; and this will increase over the next century due to population movements that shall be caused by wars, climate change and economic forces
Are foreigners who have moved here, more or less likely to be interested in swinging?
I suspect it is universal, although some cultural and/or religious groups may eschew swinging. |

America is a great country but it’s just like every other country only the bad stuff makes the news "
I wish this were true but I can assure you that it's not just the news.
We had lockdown drills in schools.. administrators would pound on the doors pretending to be active shooters while teachers instructed the kids on where to hide and how to build barricades out of desks.
Hearing gunshots was not uncommon (at least weekly in the city)
Seeing people walking around with guns was even more common. Everywhere. In practically any venue.
Getting pulled over by the police was harrowing (and I'm a white male - I can only imagine being another race/gender..)
I could go on but I don't want to turn this into a US bashing post -only offering my personal perspective.
There's a lot of great stuff about America and obviously everywhere is different but I can honestly say we feel much, much safer here in Ireland |

Being honest I know most of these things happen, Yes still didn't really think of them when talking about America. Just goes to show my roast in the glasses having not lived there. You make excellent points and I'm glad you feel safer here |
