Just noticed one of the funniest updates Ive seen on a couples profile that I'm friends with
How do you use your updates
Do you bother updating or just copy and paste the same update every day
Do you use it as a gateway to your profile ...make it funny or interesting
Do you use it to send not so subtle messages to others
Have your seen updates where someone names another profile and asks for a message back
Do updates put you off certain profiles |

Some are hilarious alright
Others in the local updates sometimes make me want to  (single guys usually)
I don't bother using the function myself much anymore as it brings unwanted attention |

Hardly ever use it and when I do it's just random thoughts and the very odd time a written eye roll.
I've never used it to catch someones eye or as a means of conversation.
I've been named and shamed by one male fabber on his and had pic suggestions from a woman I refused to chat to.
I've also had a woman quote part of my bio in the hope I would message. The fact she was outside my age preference and at the opposite end of the country meant there was no chance I would ever see it.
It was only when she messaged my veries as go-betweens and was told no so she then started a thread in my name that I knew anything about her. |

Lately just been using them to put up random stuff we've thought of during the day. Always try to keep them sexy unless someone has annoyed us.
Can be handy for certain private notes on profile (badmouthing other users, tantrums etc) |

Usually only use them to advertise meets, although our last one was firmly tongue in cheek 
Definitely some updates have us reaching for the block button, and would fully expect the reverse to be true |

Entirely tongue in cheek, I use it like I used Bebo back in the day, desperately seeking attention. |
