Anyone who is a dog lover will understand how both Michael D and Sabina are feeling at present, having just lost their Bernese, Brod, at the age of 11, which is a really good age for this specialist breed.
Large canines and highly bred pedigree dogs tend to have shorter lives, and suffer from a range of inherited conditions.
Crossbreeds tend to live longer, principally because of a phenomenon known as canine hybrid vigour.
I know from hard personal experience that the loss of a beloved pet animal is a devastating experience, from which one does not easily recover.
My sympathies go out to them. |

Charles the Third and Camilla are to be crowned if you are in pageantry, pomp and circumstance, which a lot of the British public are into (in a big way) but which I am not, because I don't come from that cultural milieu. |
