What is the general view on these, writing this as on my way home this evening,I nearly hit a child that was bombing it around a corner on the wrong side of the road
No helmet no safety gear nothing,I heard in France there’s been some sort of referendum to ban them
I think they are a good idea but not for young kids that haven’t a clue of the rules of the road.I know some adults don’t either but I honestly think someone will be killed by or off one of these the way things are going |

E-scooter rentals have been banned in Paris AFAIK other than that no restrictions, I think they are a fantastic piece of kit and we should embrace the responsible use of them but as usual a few idiots will abuse that freedom and restrictions will be brought so responsible E-scooter users will suffer because of a few idiots, such is life |

If they use the road as they do they should have to pay tax and insurance on their E-scooter's like the rest as E-scooters are not like bicycle's ..and they should be compelled to wear a helmet also ..the council charge people to park their cars ..those using E-scooters should be made pay tax & insurance . |

Also seen two tonight parked outside aldi with seats on them,in this case I think they should be classed as bikes
Not every car has a mechanical propelled engine but requires tax and insurance |

They need to get this sorted only a matter of time before someone gets hurt
Helmets hi Viz clothing
Proper lighting on them especially in rural areas and no bloody head phones
And obey the rules of the road |

Found them to be very handy in a recent stay in lanzarote whe our apt was a good distance from centre. Understand that some people find them to be a menace. The scooters are fine it's the users who create the issues

Absolutely agree with this. From what I've seen, some people are grand. Others think they're Evil Knevil on them.
"
I agree with both points they are very useful both here and abroad.not so sure it’s a thing that we’d be comfortable with our kids flying around on |
