Been involved in one, but not organised it. As I recall, there were 5 or 6 guys and 1 woman. As for organising it, I assume you both will want to meet the people involved first, so there's a whole raft of prelim 'meets,'
You'll end up meeting more than you need, as no doubt there will be a few who don't make it on the night.
Next, you need to book the hotel room and ensure sufficient condoms, lube & tissues. Guys will bring their own condoms, but it pays to have extra, just in case. And an agreement that anyone who attends, pays towards the room fee.
And of course, everyone needs to know what's on the menu, what's not acceptable etc.

To get 4 or give guys invite 10+
Only invite guys that are well known and can "perform" in company.
Some like the idea but when it comes down to it they aren't really able to cope with other guys in such close proximity.

great advice there...
theres a huge drop off rate and organising them is a nightmare
maybe you'd be better off going to a club where there's already an established night?

I'm thinking of organising a gang bang crew for events in the venue...
