Relationships can be quite awkward and there is often plenty of tough conversations to be had. One of those big conversations is sex, amongst others.
I’ve met people who’ve gone years, if ever without telling their significant others about how they feel about certain things.
This is one of the reasons I think swinging couples may be a bit more honest, or better at communicating at least. Many of the couples here have had that conversation for example.
It was just a thought, and I’m not looking to cause controversy, but do you think that on average, swinging couples tend to be more honest? |

I can't speak for others but I would say we're honest as can be with each other but we have one rule to our relationship and thats to be honest. I personally can't stand dishonest people especially after a previous relationship. If you can't be honest with the person you love what's the point in being with them. |

Some couples seem to be able to operate quite well without telling each other many things they think/feel/want. Others can't take a shite without making sure the other knows. Different relationships work differently. The important thing is that they both take care to respect the feelings and wishes that they DO know about and act with consideration to their partner. No-one wants to find out that their partner knowingly did something they knew would be upsetting to their partner. |

Plenty of individuals seem to be escaping their coupling on fab in secret!
Plenty of couples are honest with eachother, they just don't need to have "that conversation " because their relationship/love provides them with everything they desire !
This question seems to assume that all couples desire certain things outside their relationship. |

Honesty and openness can be two different things. Honesty in a relationship is paramount but I'd agree that since we started swinging, we've become more open about our fantasies and about sex in general. There have been challenges but overall the perceived freedom is great. |

I think pretty much ALL couples think honesty and lying to each other is not allowed... but those who betray and are dishonest are likely to lie to their partner and tell them that they are being honest when they aren't. Thats why a breach of trust in a marriage can be so catastrophic. Trust is the foundation that a marriage is built on, and once that's gone then the house can come falling down. |

Totally agree with this . It sums up our lives since we joined fab it great to be able to be open about our fantasies and to see if we can make them a reality of just leave them as fantasies. |

We agree with this sentiment,’. As you go through this you experience different emotions and ideas that you thought you had starting out. Not all of them aligning as you might hope and that’s where honesty and communication is key. |
