So I wonder how many women out there are happy to be single and don’t want to be part of a couple. Life has changed and we don’t need to be reliant on men anymore. I wonder has this changed us and has it made us happier and more comfortable. |

I'd rather no partner than the wrong one. That's about it.
I have no thought beyond how it'd be nice to share life's burdens and have someone that had my back or cheered me on through tough days.
Friends and family can do that to a point. It's different with an intimate partner though.
My exhusband made everything harder so am glad to be rid.
Recent events have killed my faith in the basic kindness and goodness in folk so I am no longer looking. |

"Apparently the happiest people are single, childless women in their 40's. Can't remember where I read or heard it."
I'm hoping it's going to be my 50's |

I can totally understand that. I have raised my kids now and even so you always are a mom. I couldn’t imagine living with a male partner ever again after having my kids. Maybe it’s just me but I love my alone time and freedom to decide what I want and when |

I've got the best of both worlds, in a happy relationship but we have never lived together, we have companionship and support but still have our independence |

I know a fair amount of people enjoying a relationship like this. I think it's important to give each other space and freedom rather than do everything together until you suffocate the last bit of passion like you see in many 'traditional relationships'.
It can also be achieved living under the same roof
In general I think it needs a certain maturity to live a 'generous relationship'.

Mr here, this is a general question out of interest, including the original poster a few single ladies on their profile either have Bi curious or Bisexual, yet they say they could never see themselves settling down or living with a man again, what is ruling out doing the same with another lady, is it a societal thing, I'm just thinking of a female couple I know, who in their mid 40s have gotten together and are very happy |

I have had crushes and attraction sexually but never had a sexual attraction for a female become a romantic interest/relationship so far.
Some females would tempt me though so I'll never say never. But I am monogamous and could not swear off of men for all my days.
I had bi-curious here for a while but I dislike that as curiosity is temporary and you need to say yay or nay imho not just hover.
I do think more options would suit those who are het-flex or situationally bi-playful.
I did change to bisexual for a while but my profile is currently set to straight as I am not seeking female solo play at present and it saves any unnecessary bother to others. |

Relationships never suited me. So while I would never say never I can't see myself in a relationship in the future. I am happily single and I much prefer to have really good mates that I happen to have great sex with. |

Single ladies. I'm glad you all feel this way. As we are starting to out number men. Not on fab. But in the western world and when you also take out the percentage for gay men even less options. so its less competition for the good ones.

I had a girlfriend for a while years ago and also didn’t live with her, I would find it easier to live with a woman though right now. And yeah society has made it more acceptable now to be LGBTQ + so we can all partner up with whomever we desire within legal boundaries of course |

The honesty on this thread is truly refreshing. It's one of the gems that reminds me how the forums used to be and still can be if we use it for these open and honest conversations. Obviously including a few baby's ones along the way for the craic like.
However, the open and honest discussion above is very intriguing and interesting and I just wanted to say Thank You to those who have shared those insights |

quite content being single for the most part, not looking for the conventional "relationship" happy enough in my own home, couldnt share but someone to share fun times and experiences and the odd sleepover with would be nice. |

Very happy and content being single. But I enjoy being in a relationship also and my happiness does not depend on being part of a couple.
I started on Fab as a couple and I would like to have a partner again but no rush. |

"Quite content here. Would rather be on the shelf than in the wrong press"
FACT
I know this tread is for women.
As a single guy that's NEVER been in a relationship(yet anyway). At time's over the year's I'd think, I want to be in 1, other times I'm 100% glad that I'm not in 1.
Not ruling it out in the future. If it happens, it happens. As I get older can't see it happening. Preferably with someone that I meet on here or at least in the lifestyle |
