So looking at a review in the paper in an ordinary pub €27 for 2 courses which they thought was good value

Normally pay around €15 for queue up with a tray and get served carvery of beef with all the trimmings

How much is it around the country

I paid €16:95 in the Poitin Stil yesterday which is fairly steep, they also don't do a half portion anymore.

I’d regularly go to the coachman’s at the airport and they do a full for €14 and a half for €11

€15.00. I prefer normal pub/restaurant food to Carvery. Everything is gone highly expensive though.

Carvery is not my thing, BM, wouldn't go near it, but 27 sounds terribly expensive.

Had a Chinese at the weekend. New menu with hiked prices, the increases are 3 to 4 times the inflation rate of 8 to 10%. It puts me right off going there again.

Anywhere between £11.95 and £13.95 for a takeaway Sunday lunch now and about £15 or £16 to sit in for one course so €27 for 2 courses seems about standard.

Pizza is unreal... €24 for a family size in my local dearest pizzeria

€10 in the local chipper for the same size

Antrim Town

We would go to one in Ballymena and its between £25 for lunch and and £30 for dinner and all day Sunday. But for that you get multiple hot and cold starters, option of steak as well as roast meats for main and variety of desserts, and tea/coffee after.

Crazy stuff. Take away is now as expensive as going to the restaurant. If the quality isn't there it's hugely disappointing, bit like a few pushes and he cums hump.

Cork

Carvery? I'd pay 17 euro tops.

But honestly I mix it up, I can get a kebab meal for 13 from the local and it's fairly solid.

A Chinese spice box costs 14 euro last I checked and it's too much for me even when I'm starving.

Some places are good value like that but I've noticed spikes in others

I've only had 2 take aways since I moved to the midlands simply because I'm too far out for delivery and I can get a really nice carvery locally for same price. And for the extra few quid they do amazing steaks. Other than that place I prefer my own cooking.

15 is the norm here and where I go you can get half portion or take away.

Food is always good. Hence why I keep going there

The whole country is price gouging it's almost like capitalism without a conscience. Who would have taught such a thing could ever happen

At the moment the country /world seems to be full of price gouging sheep...
