Am sure you've been given dating advice at some stage So question here is what's the best, worst or weirdest dating or sex advice you've ever received??

Advice like "you'll find the one when you least expect it" or "there's someone for everyone out there" to be extremely patronising. Not to mention jut wrong. Not everyone who wants to find a life time partner is, and the sooner that becomes the normal narrative the better.

Agreed. That's up there with "What's for you won't pass you" Does that mean we never have to venture out or chat to someone we like as let's face it, it'll happen anyway

Regarding sex when I was younger

My mother kept it simple

"You have to piss out of that thing when you're 50"

Joining online dating.

There are people I wish I'd never met.

Things I'll not ever forget.

Hurts and behaviours I'll never understand.

People are not inherently good.

My faith in humanity and the basic goodness of people is gone.

My best mate got married at 24 and maintained it was too young to be married at. He always said to me:

"While you're single, get as much practice in as you can" So, I'm doing it for him here

I don't recall ever getting dating advice, so I guess I've only got myself to thank for how well it turned out
