Why do ppl give you a wink but when you reply to say hi they don’t chat, seems like a waste of everyone’s time

Yeah I've only noticed this recently as it's happened me a couple of times. Messages still showing yellow a couple of weeks later. Bizarre stuff... if you wink me you are getting a message, stop getting my fucking hopes up

Some sort of morse code I guess.

Its happened me twice and same thing - send nice message saying thank you and hi and no response....

Inthinl they might just be testing out their wink button on me ... crash test dummy kinda thing... LOL
