OK so the site rules on here for the most part makes sense.
Is there anything you would add, take away or change slightly given the keys to the kingdom?
For me it seems odd events and clubs/groups can be advertises without any register or vetting from the site owners, while you mention the kicking app and well you know...
Also I think its time to allow us to type Dr*nk, ch*ke and w**ds

"See where you're coming from but I suppose we're all unvetted anyway
In the spirit of answering, even thought we can't change the rules Id bring in a mandatory charge of even a fiver
Just to help w**d out those that create lots of profiles at the same time"

I understand none of us are vetted,
But when certain sites cannot be mentioned but events/pubs/clubs can it lends fabs credibility to them without any substance.
Now I'm not saying they should actually be vetted but removing the block on the other apps would show its basically a free for all |

Sorry, where are the rules listed? Looked for them there and cannot seem to find them. Have never read them, so curious to read. |

Well if fab ran events then they'd likely restrict ads for their competitors in that arena.
But they don't.
They do run a website, which is a business, so they're not going to encourage users to like or join a competitor.

"There are FAQs if you scroll to the bottom of the home pages.
If you start to type a forum post you'll see a link above the text box for forum rules"
Thank you. |

100% this. Businesses arent normally in the habit of paying for an online service that's used for free by customers, who then use that resource to drive traffic to a competitor. |

I get that it just seems extremely selective. Especially as most socials/clubs run chat groups before the events off site.
I can also put my socials and OF accounts in my profile without issue.
I guess I just don't see kik as being actual competition for this site. |

I'd like to see a more open application of moderation. If a thread is against policy then put a warning in and edit it. If its gone too far then lock it and put a post with an explanation. Only remove it in extreme cases where there is a legal issue. Too many threads just disappear unexplainably. |

The chat groups are problematic as fab has its own chat room and message facility thay it pays for. A blind eye seems to be turned if it's in the interest of the site and real life fab-based events. |

It also seems to be selectively enforced depending on the poster, which is another reason I'd have for just scrapping it |

I don’t have much of a problem with any of the rules but I do wish some of the rules, particularly around pictures, were actually enforced!
I can understand why they don’t want us posting about external messaging apps but admin need to recognise that the chatroom is so poorly designed that of course people are going to use external apps. |

Rules are there for a reason and I've no problem with them although I have been known to (and caught) bending the odd one
I think the word censoring could be done away with. It is and adult site after all so I think that might be a bit dated.
I agree with whoever posted about the thread moderating. I think a warning should be given to stop threads getting too over the top and might even stop people jumping on the band wagon when it comes to having a go at other fabbers.

I think this is a good idea. |
