somewhere

Lot of people in the same dilemma now Op

Too expensive to stay in Dublin so you have to find somewhere safe and warm to stay while waiting to travel back home

Is a bus a better option home for you afterwards as they can run throughout the night

Can you sleep in the train station

I know some people who have gone out to the airport to sleep and gone home the next day

If you don't drink would you not consider driving home? At least you end up in your own comfy bed then

Dublin gone to the dogs between mad hotel prices and its fairly rough on the streets too

on the hill NordWest of

Crikey you picked the worst possible night, Saturday after St. Patrick's day, surely every Hotel is booked out or unaffordable.

Anyhow just checked the bed pods in the JakobsInn, they still have availability but says you've to book for two nights on that weekend, two nights comes in at 115. If I were you give them a ring a see if you can make a booking for one night only.

Op there's also late buses so you could get a bus out into the suburbs and stay in a bed and breakfast which would be cheaper than a hotel

Or as someone else says....don't go at all

Hire a car for the day. Then drive up. Cheaper than a hotel. You partner can use taxis. Cheaper than a hotel.
