I have been accused in the past on here for being homophobic for stating the obvious in regards to why people wont meet bi men and because the bloodbank wouldnt take donations from men. God damn snowflakes or woke people
Not sure if this has been posted before but they have now removed the section from the application form about same sex intercourse, so you are free to donate blood without the stigma attached.
Its also a really good way of getting tested, I do it every 3 months. |

"You still have to be a year without any same sex partners though isn't it? "
Doesn't say anything about that on the eligibility quiz

I do indeed....I just didn't realise that you'd be notified if you had a STI ....just assumed the blood wouldn't be used.....stupid really as it makes more sense if you are notified |

STIs are notifiable diseases hence I would be surprised if an infected donor wasn't notified. |

"I can't give blood because of living in UK for particular years, in case I have Mad Cow disease! Here was me thinking I'd just married one but blood bank says different "
That blanket ban was lifted in 2019. I was also affected by it, but am now still prohibited from donating for a different reason |

The Pre Donation Questionnaire, and all the other relevant information is on the IBTS website if anyone wants to check if they are eligible to make a donation.
As soon as your blood is used you get a message from the IBTS telling you which hospital it went too, and I think that's when you realise how worthwhile it is to donate blood. |
