Cartoon Character....ohh balls my head just exploded. Stop laughing Bog/OP.
There's so many. Fup like, I'm confused. I'll take a rain check as I'll start an excel sheet and cross reference stuff. Physical appearance. Personality. Cultural appeal. etc. I'll come up with an answer.
But if I could offer a suggestion about the OP and the character he most reasonables. I'd say Charlie Brown. Wise. An old soul. Always looking out for others. And trying to shift the girl next door...

It's my favorite animation film. Vin Diesel does the voice of the Giant. It a fantastic film in general. |
