It's always a matter of choosing the lesser of two or more evils.
Winston Churchill PM very famously was quoted as follows:
Democracy was the worst system [of government] he had ever seen...apart from all the other [political systems] that had ever been tried.
If you truly believe that all the candidates you have ever seen standing for election are rogues, incompetents or charlatans then why not give it a lash yourself.
Be aware, of course, that ALL political careers do inevitably end in failure.
Politics is the greasiest of all poles to climb. |

Why do people, to whom I gave a quotation for some work but they hired someone else, think that I'll come back and repair the mess the other contractor made and give them a low rate because they've "already had to shell out a fortune"
As I said to him on the phone half an hour ago... "would you ever fuck off with that nonsense".
He's "very disappointed" with my reaction apparently. |

If a fab woman was totally disappointed with her last meet. So she contacts you to get things fixed and to make her smile again.
What answer involving fuck would she get?

Something along the lines of "fuck it, I'll be there in five minutes!" |

""Child proof" plastic boxes that hold laundry detergent "
That's those fucking rectangular ones, in guessing. How the fuck are you meant to hold in so many different tabs at the same time? Fuck it, I'll go dirty instead of this contortionist nonsense. |

Why do poverty striken British citizens tolerate visists to local food banks by the hyper wealthy members of the German Windsor royal family and then tolerate their very patronising remarks about poverty relief for the poor in British society
Are they completely stupid to tolerate these idiotic parasites who live totally privileged lives at public expense? Absolutely baffling. |

"Why is the Windows search bar SO shit. Surely they have had long enough to make it a bit smarter."
You poor soul. If you think it's poor now, and your computer has t added the new Windows 11 updates!
It looks completely different, it's gotten so much worse and slower, and less intuitive. I absolutely hate this new update. |

Football fans, who during their daily lives insist on displaying their strong loyalty to football clubs, such as Manchester United, who don't give a damn about them, and are only interested in conning as much money from them as possible. Truly baffling and bewildering! |

"The Yuba County Five puzzles me

Jesus this got dark quick.
I see you and raise you UVB 76."
The Buzzer. Yes I know about this! Had a very boring job once where I delved into a lot of this stuff to pass the time!

Then of course there's Taman Shud / Somerton Man which seems like it's been solved recently.
I was even downloading autopsy reports about this a few years ago lol. |

I was in exactly the same position.
The one that really haunted me, still, is Amy Lynn Bradley. |

Poor wages ,poor hours,Covid sent a huge amount of students home that would normally fill jobs....high rents and high cost of living meant most stayed away |

"Poor staff in the service industry today ....very very poor"
Poor wages, long hours, shitty, often abusive and entitled customers, staff shortages unsurprisingly resulting from the above, leading to existing staff under even more pressure, leading to high staff turnover, leading to poorly trained inexperienced youngster thrown in at the deep end - the cycle continues |

In some places I get the impression though that the customer isn't King anymore, respectively that isn't a guideline anymore, Queen profit is running the place. Best example at present is the hotel industry. They've a full house no matter what. |

Because people pay the prices, ultimately staying in hotels is discretionary expenditure. Don't like? Don't buy |

I disagree with some of what you're saying.every one has bills commitments... a job is job and its a start and step to the next opportunity
..some people are just not interested in what they're are doing and being paid to do..and expect a customer to accept a poor work attitude ,ethic and service delivery....most don't give a shit the world owes them something attitude expecting to be tipped etc ....no effort no extras full stop |

What puzzles me is the lack of respect for the workers in service sector from employers and from customers too: over on the continent these service personnel are valued; in UK and Ireland they are treated really badly . |

Why do Irish people throw rubbish from the windows of their cars, and when walking along, when they are showing disrespect for their own environment?
As a former dog owner, it really baffles me why dog owners do not bag their dog's poo, but having done so, some hang up the bag in the branches of a tree or bush close to the path.
Truly puzzling behaviour; who is going to remove this bag, ever? |

People who peel a banana upside down
Promiscuity in general and the mentality of lusting after getting a go on the high profile top-of-the-table fab players
The amount of money folk will spend to watch football
Why you're wide awake 5mins before your alarm goes off but snoozing & can't shift your arse out of bed when it does....
Where do the other socks go?
Why do school blazers make the best goalposts?

"What Puzzels me is why someone would keep setting up a new profile just to contact you, very creepy, your blocked for a reason, move on "
Should get a wee coloured fab badge on your profile for collecting one of those.
Mine has started changing up his profile names bless him. But still uses the old pics |

"The crowd drawn like moths to a flame screaming "Woke" at every forum topic. Muting key words would be handy
Who gets to pick the words?"
You can pick whatever phrase you'd rather not see, such as "Enoch" or "sister in law" |

What puzzles me now is why I tolerated so much BS and so many AHs, particularly in the earlier part of my life; nowadays they would not last a minute.
Giving people the benefit of the doubt was an error! |
