The Wild West

I remember the old coppers... the old basement dungeon down stairs where the mens toilets were litterally at the edge of the dance floor....

I went to Dublin a poor innocent country boy and lived there for 18 months... that coppers place educated me

Then on to The National Ballroom on Thursday nights, trainee nurses, teachers and County music

If Carlsberg only did memories…..

Early 80s

sligo

I remember being downstairs in it one night the toilets upstairs started leaking all sorts down onto the dance floor, they just pulled the big blue bottle bins you have behind the bar onto the dance floor under the leaks and everyone passed no heed

As a typical cultchie in Dublin my might usually started in the big tree or quinns and ended in coppers or mooneys.

The odd time i ended up in Barry's hotel!
