Do you enjoy it? Whatever type of exercise you indulge in?

Certain aspects of it. Love the benefits of how I feel physically, mentally and emotionally.

Makes me appreciate when other people look after their bodies also, and when I indulge with them I take my time to appreciate every inch.

Newry Down

Principally hill walking, although two doses of Covid and a debilitating work-related knee injury stopped that for two years

Walking is exceptionally relaxing, therapeutic and affords the opportunity to meet dog owners who are almost invariably pleasant and eager to converse about their beloved pets.

However, I am currently investigating other routes to continued fitness; when I lived in Dublin I was an active gym member during the winter months.

Never been inside the door of a gym , to me your own body is all you need to work with, the weight of that alone is enough to work out to , to tighten , tone and be able to move in a comfortable way is all you need in my opinion BUT it's only mine , people will of course do different things , but it's all about finding what best & comfortable for you and l just prefer to do things with my own body weight.

Free weights mainly. I think i will have to do some yoga or something because my flexibility has gone to shit and will help with some ongoing issues.

I need to find a new mma gym as well.

Treadmill and some weights 5 times a week.

Also, love the feeling of getting naked in appropriate spaces (the locker room).

I used to love the gym, these days thanks to chronic autoimmune issues and long term meds, walking and a few yoga stretches are my limit. Some nights, I go upstairs to bed on my hands and knees. C'est la vie

I can't say I enjoy it, but the fact is I feel better when I'm going to the gym on a semi-regular basis. I resent the time spent exercising, to be honest, but no pain, no gain...

C4 is a daily gym goer, swimmer and tennis player though out of action and on crutches at the moment due to major knee surgery so going mad that he can’t do his regime. M is a practicing yoga teacher, walks a lot with her big dog, sea swims and jogs. Gotta keep moving folks both for the mental head space as well as the health benefits.

Joined a gym for the first time about 5 years ago but it wasn't for me and gave up after a couple of months.

Used to play badminton twice a week with the odd five a side match as well as hillwalking and/or kayaking at the weekends.

I've been kayaking once in the last 2 years and climbed 2 mountains in the last year instead of 2 a week and that has had a long term affect on the overall mood.

A lot of inspirational posts. I don't really like gyms, so it's time I started walking again.

I live in the country, a beach 1.5 miles away from my house, shore walks, and National Trust woodlands not far, so I have no excuse.

Must start cold water swimming again.

Cold water swimming is very popular around our area. It's a social occasion which makes it an enjoyable pastime for people. Wouldn't be for me though

Yes, it's got very popular around here too. I tend to go with my daughter just as I don't swim and just bob about. Lol

It's fun though.
