Nice to see thruples and hetro married ladies having lesbian fantasies being featured on mainstream media like the Sunday Independent.

Maybe the swinger lifestyle will eventually move out of the shadows.

Is that Denis O'Briens' rag?

Is it still going?

...or what's worse, is anyone still buying it?

As for the topic, I suppose, they have to come up with some fairy-tales to justify their wages, no?

Dennis O'brien sold all his shares in 2019.

I am curious to know why someone would express that view of a newspaper which, like most other news media, mostly just reports the news as it happens together

with some opinion pieces of varying social and political slant and also does a reasonable job on sport and entertainment reporting.

Maybe reading a newspaper would help you keep up to date.

Newspapers don't just report the news at it happens. Depending on the publication and it's readership you will get different slants on the same items.

For example The Guardian and The Daily Mail might cover the same story but with different reporting to appeal to their respective readerships.

Slant may vary from from different media sources...but the facts will always remain the facts. Its up to the reader to cross-check the facts to ensure you are getting the true story.

Always open your mind before you open a newspaper or other news media source.....

So a reply with the word "sh1theap" is a fav reply to a serious post about the opening up of topics such as poly relationships and lesbianism.

The forum replys really are sinking to a real low.

Funny/lighthearted replys are one thing, we all need a laugh, but plain bile is just that and people might be better advised to keep their bile in their bellies.

Chillpill maybe ?????. Who are you to judge someone on their choice of expression, and at the same time fly your accept all flag ?

Its was a genuine instant from the gut response.... which is what made it so brilliant imo...my opinion which I might add your acceptance flag stands for too

I absolutely support your right to your opinion as much as I value my right to express mine.

I have learned in life to take frequent doses of chill pills and if its recommended to take them with food I usually follow them with large helpings of humble pie.

As someone who has worked with both animal waste and effluent treatment products I know only too well what a shit heap is and in my opinion that or any other random crude expression has no place in a reasoned debate about media coverage of topics relating to sexual matters.

I proudly fly my flag of acceptance of difference and freedom to express opinion but I would like to maintain some element of decorum in such debates.

Gut responses very often do bring with them some element of bile by virtue of where they intestinal source of origin.

I bought it today, for the first time in at least 30 years; to get the latest on Enoch Burke.

I won't be buying it again

Just to note my OP did say "main stream media like the Sunday Indo".

It was the paper I happened to read today and I am not an apologist for any particular media outlet.

Of course yesterday's news as by their nature papers have to be printed and distributed while news mostly is a dynamic occurance and is probably better reported by online media. But newspapers are normally good to give background information and are held somewhat to account by the Press Council of Ireland.

somewhere

The thing about newspapers is that they're always out of date if you buy them anyway

I have 5 different papers on subscription on my phone that I only get when they're on special offer of One Euro a month each ..so not a lot to get different viewpoints that I might not agree with but will read anyway

Its interesting to see the 3 main Daily Irish newspapers put a different spin on the same news item

Bile isn't sourced in the intestines

You would need to have your reasonable debate in a forum that isn't all inclusive and open to everyone... maybe

Bile is secreted by the liver into passages that carry it toward the hepatic duct. It joins the cystic duct to form the common bile duct which opens into the intestine.

Sorry but don't understand what you mean by your last sentence.

I hope I was being honest when I said in the OP that I thought it was nice to see the topic of thruple relationships and married ladies having lesbianism fantasies being highlighted in main stream media.

Not my problem if some people used the thread to go off topic to disparage the Sunday Independent and in no way contribute to the relevant subject.

If the cap fits.....

I look forward to seeing a lot more features in the main stream media highlighting the positive aspects of poly relationships, sexual diversity and perhaps even the swing lifestyle.

I don't really care which news source it comes from as long as it is seen to be fair and balanced reporting.

Any Noone has an opinion on whomever is reporting?

And Noone responds in a manner you don't agree with?

And Noone interrupts the flow of decorum you deem appropriate?

And everyone understands your acceptance is dependent on the manner and/or language and/or point they express ?

Great

The principal purpose of the majority of printed newspapers is to generate revenue from sales and to sell advertising space.

All papers are struggling, especially local and most regional newspapers.

News reporting has been utterly transformed by the internet and social media as has advertising, which is now more targeted to each demographic.

I usually buy the Irish Times or the London Times, not specifically for the news content, and NOT for the adverts, but simply to use the paper as a handy aide-memoire for the day ahead, as I have my coffee

Specifically, the Sunday Independent has markedly declined in quality over the past ten years as has its daily sister paper.

The worst Irish papers in terms of content and value for money are Sunday World and Sunday Life in N.I.

They are shallow garbage.

The very best Irish paper, both for value, quality of content and breadth of issues covered is the weekend edition of The Irish Times; predictable layout but worth reading.
