Usually people have their phone bookings done when they leave from the one there attending so if you can get accomm be prepared to pay top dollar for it as alough its good for the local economy it's crazy for traffic and people |

I would think if any meeting goes ahead it will be the NW , purely because of the tourism side of the sport ... not because of our grass roots racing which is where the finances should be aimed |

"Sadly we changed our plans when we heard firstly it was cancelled. Have a great week all. We're off to mugello now at the start of June "
Understandable, given the fact it looked like it wouldn't go ahead. I hope the uncertainty hasn't caused too many visitors to take the same action though.
Mugello should have a better chance of sunny weather! |

"So glad they managed to resolve the issues so this could run.
We can't get there this year but it would have been a tragedy if it had stayed cancelled.
Hope you have a great trip OP."
The biggest problem they have compared to years ago is they bring in a company to do all the set up and take down after but back when nutt was in charge the motor club members where the ones who did all the set up etc and if they lowered the price of the programmes more people would buy them and that would help towards the insurance needed to cover the event. Why the insurance company decided last minute to more than triple the cost of the premium I've no idea |

All the racing in the south has now been cancelled for the year due to insurance issues.
Looks like the wee North it the place to be this year for racing |

Yeah heard the Republic of Irelands racing was basically fucked this year. Hopefully that will benefit the road racing scene this year in Northern Ireland. The clubs definitely need the £. Everyone remember to support the organisers this year and by programmes, paddock passes etc. the NW200 is Northern Irelands marquee event and long may it be so |

Didn’t get the chance to get over to the dunlop memorial gardens. Maybe drop by on my way home Sunday. Sensational weather last night and great couple of races. Withdrawal of FHO wasva blow. Dunno wtf is going on an why the regs aren’t standardized to the TT’s. Afterall that’s why the top teams are here, testing. Not sure where to go tonight socially. |

The event isn't run by the same organisation that runs the tt which is why it's not run the same way and considering that the nw200 has been a long time event I think it's almost 100 years and the modern circuit is a lot smaller than the original one |
