Since the lockdown I've found it hard to read books. I prefer Books over Kindle

I've just finished reading my first book in ages,The Dublin Marathon celebrating 40 years.

i travel all over

I don’t like that e books mean more screen time . Tend to prefer physical books , and papers . Audio books are wholly dependent on the narrator ….

I've never used audio books, must try that.

One thing about the local council libraries is they share books which gives you more access to some great books

"I like books, the feel and smell of them..."

Old libraries with books older than cars. The smell of old paper bound in leather cover, the old, hand carved wooden shelves and smell of old ink.

Oh lordy, the energy, spirit or genius loci of those places is unreal...being naked with partner in crime in on of these is on my bucket list

I relented after many years and got a kindle.

Nothing beats being able to get a sequel at 3am, for a fraction of the price, packing light for a trip or reading away til the wee small hours to my heart's content without needing a light on that caused rows.

Worth it.

Prefer a real book ...in fairness if you're reading sitting on the toilet and you run out of toilet roll you can't wipe your ass with a kiddle

If you're like me and have multiple books on the go at the same time then Kindle multiples that problem by 10!

Much prefer the kindle as it makes the praticalties of reading a lot easier when you don't have to physically hold something.

If the book is good enough they'll make a movie out of it

I always enjoy reading a book and see how it turns out in the movie. Sometimes the film is not as good as the book.

The one thing about a real book is you can pass it on to a friend

Kindle is handier but nothing beats the familiar feeling for your favourite book in your hands
