With the holidays almost upon us, so much goes on that we can lose sight of what its all about... or at least in my opinion... Family!
As we get older that becomes more clear. Kids are an understandable priority but parents are the close 2nd for many as we savour the precious memories they've created for us and they help us reminisce of years gone by..
It doesn't last forever of course, which sadly some people will understand more than others
So with that, what are some of the bits of advice your parents gave you over the years that has stuck with you since then and you will always be greatful for?
(My intention is not to trigger anyone as i understand this could be very sensitive for some)
And of course it can be "My Papa once told me.." or some other variation that applies to you
So for me..
My Mama once told me...
Stand for what you believe in and do not waiver.. it may cause pain, it may come with consequence but it will never damage you as much as knowing you've diminished your character!

Your mind is your navigator..your heart is your compass.. one talks alot the other doesn't talk at all .. but when in dark stormy waters you can only truly trust one to get you home safe.
