Give me your favourites, my family watched muppets treasure Island every Christmas for years. No idea why, probably one of the few we had on VHS

"Lord of the rings trilogy "

And original Star Wars trilogy, the other two trilogies are basically the same story only slightly different scenery.

Newry Down

Dinner fo One: by a long chalk, the most popular Christmas film in Europe and most especially in Germany, but that is almost never shown in the UK or Ireland is an old short monochrome British film called Dinner for One, starring the once famous English comedian, Freddie Frinton.

It has been repeatedly shown for many decades in Latvia, Austria, Finland, but most people I have spoken to have never heard of it, nor seen it.

Younger people would have no idea who Freddie Frinton was!

Dinner for one was a hilarious New Year's Eve staple in our family when I grew up. I wouldn't get tired of seeing my mother in fits of laughter time and time again, year after year (we'd all be giggling)...I must remind her and maybe watch it with her this year
