Correct, they couldn't care less about events in Ukraine until 1st mobilisation wave. That's when thousands of "brave" russians fled to nearby countries. Not because they were against the war, they simply didn't want to fight. |

Yeah, of course, 100% of Russia's population has moved on and out - like I said, they're all evil... now you can add on that they're all cowards too because they don't want to fight - maybe you can go and help if you're so keen on war  |

I wonder would the same people asking for peace say the same thing if Great Britain once again tried to bring Ireland under the imperialist yolk.
That said I’m all for peace but sometimes that peace needs to be fought for. If peace talks happen and parts of Ukraine are taken over by Russia I’d say a lot of ex soviet states will be very nervous over the next few years.
And not sure if Christmas means the same thing to all cultures. So what’s a festive season for many means nothing to others. |

Peace needs to be fought for, especially when your dealing with people like Putin. If Russia gets an inch of Ukriane, he will be emboldened and there will not be peace in Eastern Europe for years.
Poland, Lithuania, Latvia etc. would be forced to heighten tensions just to protect themselves. |

We all want peace. No white flag of surrender in my garden though... I will send another couple of 100s to the Ukrainian Embassy account instead, to help peace come sooner... If anyone wants the link to that account, PM is open. No spam, no scam, no dodgey Nigeria prince here |

I came in to see all the nice peaceful thoughts contributed.
I read through, found no peace even on a swinging site forum.

Sounds like you've never been affected by, or had to fight in a war. War is what happens when politicians stop talking to each other. There are good people in all countries. Flying a white flag for peace is not a bad idea, if you feel you cant do much else. |

Sounds like you've never been affected by, or had to fight in a war. War is what happens when politicians stop talking to each other. There are good people in all countries. Flying a white flag for peace is not a bad idea, if you feel you cant do much else.
This war is the result of centuries long resistance of Ukraine against ruSSia's "brotherly love" and its fight for independence. Putin was just a catalyst... |
