So who locks the bathroom door even if you're in the house alone? Just in case someone comes in.... Even though you know nobody is coming home at that time

Always lock the door behind me, always did so it's just force of habit now. Now when I use someone else's bathroom and there's no lock I get just a teeny bit anxious for a moment until I come to my senses

I have no need to lock the toilet door, as I now live alone, but I do close the bathroom door because the steam sets off my smoke detectors if I don't.

However, I would admit to one personal idiosyncracy; I never use public urinals as I invariably like to urinate in private, behind a firmly bolted door!
